Passions turn to Purpose
For all you ambitious people who are constantly asking yourselves how you can do better, level up, or change courses, this one’s for you. (And note: We are you. We ask ourselves these questions daily.)
Here’s what we’ve learned: No matter your age or stage, lean into what you’re good at and what you like. What’s necessary for us to learn and pursue are the intricacies of the subjects we love. It’s those things that will shape our careers and it’s those things that will make us the most successful.
Diving deep into our passions is challenging. But here’s the thing: it’s a meaningful challenge with a larger purpose as opposed to a challenge for the sake of struggling.
Looking for opportunities should not feel like starting from scratch or staring at a blank slate. Instead, this search allows us to find or create the thing that sharpens and deepens our interests. Whatever you stay up at night thinking about, wake up and pursue it.
We don’t think we change throughout our lives, but instead, we believe we’re always just becoming more fully cooked versions of ourselves. Certain facets may just reveal themselves at different times and sometimes in unusual ways. So, do the thing that makes you feel like you. Not just for your own sake, but for the sake of your work, too. The best "you" and your best work will come when you realize that work and genuine passion do not need to be separate after all.
